Hillaker Investigations is a well established investigative company serving the entire State of Michigan. Our background, education, teaching and professional investigative experiences would benefit any perspective client. We have investigated serious cases and claims for insurance companies, corporations, businesses, client(s) and testified on numerous occasions based on our investigative work product. We have focused our professional services on working with client’s, and finding investigative solutions to social psychological and legal problems they are experiencing.

As independent investigators we utilize various investigations methods, compare facts and findings against rules, regulations and law; develop investigative recommendations to the best investigative course of action or inaction for our client(s). We have been aiding clients since 1992 and have been involved in over 2500+ behavioral interviews, recorded statements, investigative general durable power of attorneys,m comparative and combined liability reports, sworn affidavits, behavioral reports, behavioral profiles, video-taped interviews and co-deposed witnesses. We have an “in-house information specialist” who has immediate access to computerized information.

We have conducted extensive research in the area of “Witness Tainting and the Scientific Analysis of Children’s and Adult’s Statements and Testimony” and my graduate Thesis was based on social psychology “Perspectives on Witness Tainting.” We are former adjunct instructors for Delta College, teaching investigational methods courses for the past six years. The classes incorporate Forensic Behavioral Investigative Methods which includes the “Scientific Analysis Of Children’s and Adult’s Statements and Testimony; Perspectives on Witness Tainting: Rethinking Previous and Current Legal Cases.” Our continuing education in the area of behavioral sciences better supports our role as investigators serving the needs of our clients.

On July 2002, based on a mid-Michigan Circuit Court order compelling Hillaker Investigations to divulge private investigator work product, we filed a Motion to Quash in Circuit Court, In Pro Sae, Requisting relief under MCL 338.840 / Private Investigator Privilege Communications; arguments and proffs: Ravary v. Reed 163 Mich App 437 and tezak v. Hunting Research and Associates, LTD. September 2002, the Circuit Judge reversed himself and ordered an incamera inspection of private investigator work product. We are currently in the process of  writing proposed Legislation for Michigan Council of Private Investigators to be presented to Michigan’s Office of consumer Industry Services for approval involving continuing education or CEU’s for Private Investigators in Michigan to be voted on by the Michigan Legislature.
